Sewefontein is a working farm on top of the mountains of the beautiful Piekenierskloof, about 160 km from Cape Town
Stay in one of two self-catering houses at this country getaway in magnificent surroundings and and enjoy the fresh air, the views and the restful farm setting. Go for long walks through unspoilt fynbos, bring your bird books for unsurpassed bird watching, see citrus orchards, rooibos tealands, apricots, grapes and peaches, go for swim in the farm dam and more!
There is also a short 4X4 route.
The farm is also the ideal base from where to explore the surrounding attractions like the Cederberg, Clanwilliam and the West Coast with either Lambert's Bay or Elands Bay, both of which are about an hour's drive away.

THE COTTAGE
 
Two bedrooms - main bedroom with double bed and second with two singles.
Bathroom with shower over bath. Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with fireplace.
Additional single bed in lounge. Portable braai on stoep.
Bed linen, towels and wood provided.

THE HOMESTEAD
 
4 Bedrooms - Main with queen size bed, 1 with double bed interleading with another with a single bed, 4th bedroom with a single and a 3/4 bed. Main with en-suite shower room. Second bathroom bath and shower.
Large kitchen with eye level oven, fridge, etc. Separate dining room. Lounge with fireplace, TV and decoder (bring own card). Stoep with views of mountains and dam.
Bed linen, towels and wood provided.

COTTAGE RATES PER NIGHT: R500 FOR 1-4 PEOPLE + R80 FOR PERSON SLEEPING ON SINGLE BED IN LOUNGE
THE HOMESTEAD RATES PER NIGHT: R500 FOR 2 + R100 PER ADDITIONAL PERSON - SLEEPS 7.
Besides lovely walks to the dam or more energetic hikes in the mountain, you can see veld flowers in September, drying of fruit in December and January and you can fish and swim in the dam and visit rock paintings on the farm.

TO GET HERE: Take the N7 from Cape Town - Malmesbury, Mooreesburg, Piketberg. On top of Piekenierskloof mountain pass, pass Kardoesie farmstall on your right and look out for the Paleisheuwel turn-off. Follow the road for 10 km (5km on tar and 5km on gravel) and turn off at the road marked "Clanwilliam" - carry on for 4,5 km to "Sewefontein"
